Home of Podocarpus

Koyuki Bonsai is a small nursery in Cisarua, West Java, working with a single genus: Podocarpus. Every tree we offer was propagated, grafted and styled here.

Broad, blunt, leathery leaves

The easiest Podocarpus to identify: short, wide leaves with rounded tips, packed densely at the branch ends. Thickens fast and ages early, which is why good material is scarce.

Blue Ice Podocarpus

The only blue-foliage podocarpus

Podocarpus elongatus ‘Monmal’ carries narrow, silver-blue leaves with lime-green new growth. The colour deepens with age and full sun.

Podocarpus macrophyllus var. maki is the podocarpus with the longest history in Japanese bonsai — stiffly upright, densely whorled, forgiving to work.

Three varieties

All three are Podocarpus, but they differ sharply in leaf form, growth rate and how they behave in a pot. Each species page covers identification in detail.

Propagated, never collected

Our stock comes from cuttings, seedlings and grafts worked in the nursery. We do not buy, sell or accept wild-collected material.

Visiting

The nursery is open Tuesday through Sunday. If you are looking for a particular size or variety, message us first — not everything is ready to leave at any given time.
